As a busy mother of two, I have been guilty of putting my health needs last on my list of things to do. According to a survey in Healthy Women and Working Mothers, more women have the same issue with putting their health first! Check out the stats!
The high percentage of women who put their health and wellness last on the list is astounding. However, as a busy mom who associates with other busy moms, this information is not entirely surprising! I don’t know how many times I have heard women state that they would do this or that regarding their health and fitness journey but just simply can’t figure out how to fit themselves into their busy schedule. The kids always need something or the family always comes first, so YOU take a backseat. Then it becomes a habit that is hard to break, which leads to neglect of your health and wellness. That neglect could be your potential downfall, you could end up dead before you decide that your health is important. And how will that help your family? How will your kids feel without their mom? I ask myself these questions when my breakthrough came, after stepping off of that scale in April 2018 at 248lbs. I know what it feels like to feel as if you just cannot find the time to nurture your health between your career and family obligations . I know what it feels like to be a shell of yourself! The time is NOW!!! The decision has to be made to choose YOURSELF, to choose LIFE!!!
