Diary of a Sweaty Mom: No Photos Please

Diary of a Sweaty Mom: No Photos Please

Let me tell you about low body confidence, I suffered from it so bad that that meme that you just chuckled at was my real LIFE! After having my daughter in 2017, still carrying the weight and then some, pics were the LAST thing I wanted to do. I used to avoid body pics like COVID, family pics from the boobs down were NOT an option. Any pics that were taken got deleted. Seriously, I only have, maybe, 5 pictures in my phone from when I was 248lbs. I was dead set on not taking any pics.

I know that I am not alone. There are plenty of other women that don’t like what they see in the mirror. According to article “11 Facts About Body Image,” from DoSomething.org, 91% of women were not happy with their body image and resorted to dieting to change it. And only 5% of women have the “ideal body” that is portrayed in American culture.  All of this is just disappointing but it’s facts! I take my body image day by day because some days, I AM the Bomb.com. Then there are days that I grab and mommy pouch, and am annoyed at how stubborn it is.

It’s a lifelong process but I am thankful to have my mommy pouch because that gut carried 2 gifts from God himself!!!! And I wear my Mommy Crown with honor!!! I am no longer in that place that where I completely shy away from the camera, and these I even stare in the mirror and love on myself!!! The weight loss helped but it was the mental and emotional exercises that made me the woman I am and will become!!! I am 197lbs today, and I refuse to go back to being a shell of myself!!!! No more excuses!!! No, Im not perfect, but I am definitely worth it!!!!
